[ There seem to be two articles of clothing in the gift Robby receives in return. They're virtually the same - a grey shade - but one of them is a sweatshirt whereas the other is one with shorter sleeves for the summer.
There's what seems to be hand-painted calligraphy on both, though it's not dry anymore - like it's been embedded into the shirt at this point, and won't come out with just a wash. The sweatshirt has one character on it, whereas the shorter sleeved shirt has two.
Maybe magical Trench translation allows Robby to be able to read the characters, but even if it still just looks like Japanese he can't understand to him, there is a note included as well: ]
誠 = sincerity 勇気 = courage
Where I come from, those two things are a big part of bushido, of what it means to be a warrior. The men I knew back there always tried hard to live up to those things. But even though you're not from a place that's similar at all to where I come from, I always see you doing the same every day, Robby. I hope these can serve as a reminder of all your effort and hard work.
